This Is Not A Cruise

Predictability doesn’t exist onboard Symphony of the Seas - the latest addition to the Royal Caribbean Oasis Class of ships.

Innovation and imagination are more like it for the newest, largest cruise ship at sea. From world class dining and out-of-this-world entertainment, to the most incredible accommodations at sea, Symphony of the Seas is all the greatest hits, plus revolutionary new firsts. And it’s coming to Miami in the fall of 2018, after an inaugural season in Europe.

The Ship

Get ready for seven different neighborhoods — each with its own distinct vibe, plus unique dining venues, entertainment and attractions. The tree lined paths of Central Park present the ultimate uptown experience — a little slice of the Big Apple at sea. And on the Boardwalk you’ll find plenty of fun for all ages, from ice cold brews and video games at Playmaker’s Sports Bar & Arcade to high-flying, high-diving feats at the AquaTheater. If retail therapy is more your speed, you can peruse the shops along the Royal Promenade for your favorite brands, then hop from bar to bar for a post-shopping tipple. You’ll find deck defying thrills in the Pool and Sports Zone, plus Broadway hits, live music and comedy at Entertainment Place — home to the biggest casino at sea. No matter what your age, you can discover plenty to rave about onboard Symphony of the Seas.

Nothing about Symphony of the Seas is “typical” — and staterooms are no exception. There’s the Ultimate Family Suite — two stories of awesome thrills on every level, including your very own in-suite slide, a private cinema with an 80-inch 3D screen, an air hockey table, bumper pool on your balcony and access to just about any video game you could want. Plus, a separate master suite where parents can escape to serene amenities bestowed by Royal Suite Class — including your own private Royal Genie.

In addition to traditional balcony staterooms, on Symphony you can choose a neighborhood balcony that overlooks the exciting Royal Promenade, the tranquil Central Park or the bustling Boardwalk. You’ll also find state-of-the-art “virtual balconies” — interior staterooms with floor-to-ceiling real time views of the ocean and ports of call.

Onboard Symphony of the Seas, you can treat yourself to over 20 dining options that will dazzle your taste buds and take you from Mexico to Japan to wonderland. At Hooked, you can indulge in classic New England favorites like just-shucked East Coast oysters, and fresh grilled seafood. Or you can go wild over insanely delicious Mexican fare at El Loco Fresh, serving up favorites like tacos and burritos. In addition to these tantalizing newcomers, you’ll also find world-class Royal Caribbean favorites like Chops GrilleSM, Jamie’s Italian, Izumi Japanese Cuisine, Windjammer, Wonderland and Solarium Bistro. Not to mention bars and lounges that are out of this world. Grab a glass of vino at Vintages wine bar, or have a craft cocktail handed to you by a robot at Bionic Bar, where mixology meets technology. When it comes to fueling up after a day of non-stop thrills onboard, the possibilities are endless.

Whether you’re chasing an adrenaline rush or just looking to kick back and enjoy the ocean view, Symphony of the Seas offers one-of-a-kind memory making experiences at every turn. If you dream of crossing rock climbing off your bucket list, Royal Caribbean will hand you the pen. Afterwards, you can twist and turn down a 10-story plunge on the Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea. And get soaked riding The Perfect Storm waterslides. Or you can surf 40-foot long waves on FlowRider — you’ll find two on deck — before taking on aliens and bots in a galactic game of laser tag. And if that’s not enough, you can cool off at the only ice skating rink at sea (maybe even zip lining across deck to get there). In addition to these deck-defying thrills, you’ll find it’s always show time onboard with glittering productions like the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray only steps from your stateroom. Or 1977, an ice skating spectacular where timing is everything, starring a time-traveling hero named Tempest. And in Flight, you can take off on a spectacular production chronicling aviation milestones. Oh, and don’t miss the breathtaking aerial feats in HiRO, an electrifying new AquaTheater spectacular where each stunt is more thrilling than the last.

The whole family will find plenty to rave about onboard Symphony of the Seas. Just take a stroll down the reimagined Boardwalk, where you’ll find a treasure trove of sweet treats waiting for you at Sugar Beach. Or climb a 40-foot rock wall for unparalleled views above deck. Kids can have buckets of fun at Splashaway Bay, while teens can brush up on their dance moves at Fuel Teen Disco. And after a day full of thrills, parents can take “me time” to a new level with a visit to Vitality Spa, one of the largest at sea. Here you’ll find soothing holistic treatments engineered to rejuvenate the body and unwind the mind. No matter what your age, get ready to discover a world of adventure onboard.

You may be thousands of miles away from home, but with VOOM — the fastest internet at sea — you’ll never feel disconnected from friends and family. Using satellites that orbit much closer to earth and beam straight to the ship, Royal Caribbean is able to offer internet speed and bandwidth that exceeds the capacity of all other cruise ships combined. That means you can share, surf, stream or video chat at the same time as everyone else onboard and never get jammed up — because traffic has no place on your vacation. Experience all the wonder Symphony of the Seas has to offer in Europe next spring, or plunge head first into the Caribbean when the ship arrives at the brand-new Port of Miami terminal next fall.
