Sangría is a red wine punch that originated in Spain, although it can also be made with white wine – it is then known as “Sangria Blanco”. The word sangría comes from the Spanish word sangre meaning blood. The combinations of fruits and juices that can be added are endless, so go ahead and experiment with different flavors, you just might come up with your next party hit!

Peach & Strawberry Sangria
- 1 bottle of dry, full-bodied red wine
- 1/3 cup brandy
- 1/3 cup Cointreau
- 1/3 cup sugar (or to taste)
- Juice of 1 large orange
- Juice of 1 large lemon
- 1 large orange, sliced thin crosswise
- 1 large lemon, sliced thin crosswise
- 2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and cut into chunks
- 2 cups of sliced strawberries
- 1 bottle of club soda or carbonated drink, like Sprite
Preparation
Combine all your ingredients (except for the soda & strawberries) in a serving pitcher or large punch bowl. Mix well and refrigerate overnight for best flavor. Right before serving, add in soda and strawberries. Pour into chilled glasses with ice and enjoy!
