Day 1: Upon arrival in Bordeaux, pick up car at chosen pick-up point, more than likely rental car counter near rail station and drive to Hotel La Ferme Lamy for check-in and become acquainted with this beautiful hotel. Venture out if you like to see the wonderful countryside of this region of France. Stop-off in a small village or visit some of the historic sites in the region like Sarlat or Château de Beynac in overlooking the town of Beynac-et-Cazenac along the Dordogne River. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner at your hotel and be sure to get a taste of some locally produced foie gras, if you get the chance.
Day 2: Start your day with a wonderful breakfast prepared at Le Mas des Gres before beginning the cooking class with Jacques. He will guide you through the class with his gregarious manner in English. The menu will depend on the local ingredients that are available that day and what local dishes match the produce and goods of the day. After the class, you’ll have the chance to sit down and enjoy the meal you prepared and you’ll have a fresh new recipe that you can cook for your friends and family when you return.
Day 3: After breakfast continue on to your next Avanti destination or begin your travels home.
