The Marietas Islands: Situated at the northern end of Banderas Bay, the Marietas Islands provide a sanctuary for diverse marine and bird life. Whales, dolphins, giant manta ray, tropical fish, and indigenous birds such as blue-footed boobies and red-billed tropic birds form a unique and complex ecosystem in the shelter of these islands.
The area of Punta Mita (the name means "gateway to paradise") located at the Riviera Nayarit is a 1500-acre resort and residential community. Parallel with the latitude of Hawaii, Punta Mita is comfortable year round, surrounding guests with gentle sea breezes through balmy days and nights. The average summer temperature is 85 degrees; 75 degrees during winter months.
