Top Game Reserves & Parks in Eastern & Southern Africa

Picture yourself game viewing in untamed Africa; watching animals roam freely in their natural habitat. This is a unique experience, at the same time peaceful yet electrifying.

You'll be looking for the 'Big Five': elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and Cape buffalo, which were the most difficult for hunters to catch back in the early days. Today cameras have replaced guns as we hunt for these magnificent animals as well as hippo, zebra, giraffe, crocodile, hyena, antelope, birds and many more.

Cheetah sightings are rare as they are an endangered species. The largest concentration today is in Namibia where they are protected by a successful and growing conservation program.

To help you plan your adventure, here's a roundup of premier Game Reserves and National Parks for game viewing. In addition you'll come across many smaller reserves and private game parks throughout the region.

  • Kenya
  • Tanzania
  • Botswana
