For personalized, exclusive itineraries, the services of NoteWorthy can’t be beat. In business for almost 30 years, this bespoke company has all the connections required for access to behind-the-scenes experiences across Britain and Ireland.
We caught up with Nicola Butler, Managing Director & Owner of NoteWorthy to find out more about the exciting opportunities our On Location partner provides.
Q: What type of services does NoteWorthy offer in Britain and Ireland?
Every client is different at NoteWorthy and our itineraries are as unique as our guests. We love to plan our programmes based around our clients’ specific interests and tastes. As we are a bespoke company we focus on experiences that are not found in the pages of a guidebook to give a completely unique approach to British and Irish Travel. For example, everybody visits the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, but with NoteWorthy we will take you on a privately guided tour with a member of the Guinness family, visiting locations never normally open to the public, finishing in a drink in the Storehouse’s private bar.
The service that we offer at NoteWorthy is entirely flexible. We have a concierge team, allowing our clients access to sold-out tickets, meet and greets and backstage tours, as well as luxury transfers, exclusive restaurant reservations and personal shoppers. We are however specialists in end-to-end itinerary planning with our expert guides, luxury private drivers and exclusive experiences, and access to all the must-sees. The only limit to the itineraries that we plan is our clients’ imagination.
Q: Do you cater to individuals as well as groups?
Absolutely. NoteWorthy has been planning family leisure travel and group travel from meetings and incentives, through to large multi-generational family groups for almost 30 years.
Q: What special features are a part of the travel arrangements you make?
At NoteWorthy we pride ourselves on the unique and exclusive nature of our experiences that will not be replicated in the pages of a guidebook. We want our clients to experience the very best of the UK and Ireland and using our personal contacts and travel expertise, have curated Exquisite British and Irish Experiences that create life-long memories: from tours of private Royal estates, to dinner with renowned fashion designers and gourmet experiences led by top chefs.
Q: Tell us a bit about the guides who lead your tours.
All of our guides at NoteWorthy are certified Blue Badge holders who have been handpicked by us to ensure that they reach our high standards. We have a wide selection of guides available - from generalists who have an incredibly broad base of knowledge to satisfy the hungriest of minds, through to specialists in almost every field, allowing us to select the very best guide for each client and their individual needs.

Q: What behind the scenes experiences can you arrange?
All of our experiences are designed with an exclusive or private twist. Our current favorites include Behind the Scenes at the Changing of the Guards, where guests will meet the soldiers, pose for pictures, watch the ceremony from within the Parade Ground, accompanied by the curator of the Guards Museum, before trying on bearskin hats and red tunics themselves for some wonderful photo opportunities.
Another NoteWorthy exclusive is Behind the Scenes at St Paul’s Cathedral, taking our guests to areas never normally open to the public. Guests will see original Christopher Wren drawings, meet artisans whose workshops are in the cathedral, as well as accessing the roof, and the exceptional views normally reserved for panoramic TV shots!
Q: Tell us about some of the food and wine experiences available in Britain and Ireland.
In the last 20 years both the UK and Ireland have become veritable gourmet destinations in their own right. Aside from booking tables at hard to access Michelin starred restaurants, we can arrange meet and greets with renowned chefs; private chefs tables and bespoke menu creation; wine tastings with Master Sommeliers and access to historic wine cellars. In addition, local produce tours followed a private cookery lesson are always a great way to access an area’s cuisine – we can organize this in any destination in the UK or Ireland.
Q: What are some of the special events in Britain and Ireland you can make arrangements for travelers to attend?
This year, 25 NoteWorthy guests attended the Queen’s Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) – normally access is restricted to members of the Royal Family, visiting dignitaries and politicians, but due to our exclusive connections we were able to open this to our guests. In 2016 we will be celebrating our Queen’s 90th Birthday and will have further exclusive tickets to offer our clients.
During the Royal Wedding in 2011 of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, our guests were able to view the proceedings from the nearest terrace to Westminster Abbey, whilst enjoying a gourmet breakfast.
Due to our privileged position with 30 years in business, we have access to many events that would never normally be open to the general public and we are always thrilled to offer this to our clients.
Q: What types of accommodation can be arranged?
We have incredibly strong links with our hotel and accommodation partners, ensuring additional amenities and complimentary upgrades for our guests. We offer accommodation to a minimum level of 4-star deluxe, and have a portfolio across the UK and Ireland encompassing boutique and international brands, from the cutting edge of design to the most traditional of historic houses. Our hotels are always handpicked to suit the profile of the guest; the duration of their stay and their preference for location within a destination city.
We are totally flexible if your agent prefers to book the hotel.
